found poem #1
It has taken us two years to move house and now bits of random poetry I had forgotten I wrote flutter from old notebooks onto the floor. Like this one…
Don't let the pain get in the way and feel it Just feel it. Just feel it And know I am there somehow Let it unravel and fall Unravel and fall Like a sigh to the ground To the ground And beyond and further still Finding cracks and fissures To filter yet further and beyond Until you finally wake Bright eyed and wonderful and free You feed me rot and cardboard and cut grass You keep me in the plastic dark And peer in occaisionally I am happy to see you And my insects dance and wriggle for joy In the winter, when you ignore me, I can hear the fossil voices of the long dead In the walls, reminding me of what is to come When I feel the warmth of the sun And see myself beginning to steam I know you will come for me And spread me on the soil to wait for the rainMichael Harvey - scratched on a scrap of paper about 10 years ago
